BHAR CUP
CRAFTIVISM
A craftivism pop-up exhibition, dedicated to using art and craft as a means of starting thought and a dialogue of change. The exhibit features a replica of the Indian TO-GO cup I have made, by low-firing clay alike the method in Kulkata, India. After using the cup, the participant become part of the decomposing by smashing it in a designated bucket.
My goal is to start a dialogue with the public and raise awareness around the use of materials. But it's not just about the cups--it's about sustainable practices and responsible consumption.

CRAFT IN A
GLOBALIZED WORLD
This craftivism project explores the intersection of craft, sustainability and cultural heritage. Created as part of an written academic paper as part of the education at the Royal Danish Academy, I reflect on India's decision to ban plastic to-go cups at railway stations and embrace their traditional Bhar cup instead. Through ceramic practice, I highlight the value of craft and how it can make a positive impact on the environment.

The smashed, crushed and broken bits of low-fired ceramics after the exhibition I now further research in as material. Weather it is used to create new cups, a glaze or something else.
